Lancôme Grandiose Mascara

The Grandiose Mascara has both those who love it and those who hate it. And all this due to its original "swan-neck" wand designed for "effortless" application. According to Lancome, the patented wand allows you to reach every lash from corner to corner. Its original shape allows for maximumand even deposit of the formula, even to the smallest lashes. The formula is ultra black, quick drying and contains rose-cell extract so lashes remain soft and supple (which is not the case for me!). The mascara also contains less waxes for intense color with no smudging or flakinf through the day.

Swan-neck^TM wand

Well, for me the wand was mor for fun than a real help for effortless application, but its ok :) No problems! I didn't like how the mascara looks on the lashes.

With one coat of mascara

If with the first coat it gives a natural look, it's ok, but with the second coat the lashes become heavy and messy. The ends of the lashes can bend down and it looks disgusting. Well, maybe it depends on the lashes, but I should prevent you...

With two coats of mascara

However, the mascara is really long-lasting and doesn't smudge!

- No elasticity, the lashes are hard
- Quick drying formula doesn't encourage second coat
- The ends of the lashes can bend down

For me personally the disadvantages are more important, becouse the same benefits I can find in some othet mascaras, like for example my last favorite VelvetNoir  from Marc Jacobs or Clinique Volume Extreme.
